(continued)

Breakout session #2:

Operating in Mexico – Profile of current mining
environment and panel discussion of operating in Mexico
This session will provide an overview of mining operations
in Mexico, including a review of recently proposed changes
in labour laws and royalty taxation. In addition, a panel of
executives from companies operating in Mexico will provide
insight based on their experience operating mines in Mexico –
including community, labour, social and other operational
challenges.

Breakout session #3:

Managing political and fraud risks associated with the
pursuit of international expansion
Foreign jurisdictions present unique risk and responsibilities
for companies that are exploring for resources or developing
projects. Some of the most noted risks in working
internationally are the political nuances of each country,
and the adjacent risk of fraud and corruption, particularly
in developing countries or countries unfamiliar to foreign
investors. Our panel will discuss their perspectives of some
of the pitfalls that could await you and offer insights on what
they have learned in evaluating the political and fraud risks, and
managing those risks.

As governments worldwide focus on securing revenue,
resource nationalization has become the new rallying cry for
not only developing countries but also well established mining
jurisdictions. Resource nationalization comes in a variety of
shades. Our panel will discuss recent worldwide trends and
the mining industry’s response to resource nationalization. We
will also discuss the consequences of the new transparency
initiatives directed at the mining industry, including differences
