KPMG's Mining Executive Forum in Review
"KPMG's 3rd annual Mining Executive Forum was as enjoyable as it was insightful, and we thank you for helping us make it a success. We are extremely pleased about the popularity of this event; this year, every spot was taken in advance. Attendees flew in from the mining centres of the world—South Africa, the U.K., Brazil, and the US— making this our most international conference to date.
“Industry professionals bring credibility and a breadth of experience to each of our plenary and breakout sessions, which is essential for a forum such as this,” says Lee Hodgkinson, KPMG’s Global Mining Leader.
The plenary sessions included Valuing Mining Companies, AIM / TSX / US Exchanges, and IFRS and its implications to mining companies, with each of these sessions being very well received by the attendees. Mixed throughout the day and a half event were 12 breakout sessions with a wide variety of topics pertaining specifically to the mining industry. One attendee commented, “Excellent. Very relevant!” in our feedback questionnaire.
