2009 Financial Statements of Canadian Banks

KPMG's Financial Services practice is pleased to present the 2009 edition of Financial Statements of Canadian Banks. This annual publication is designed to act as a reference for those preparing and reviewing bank financial statements by compiling common reporting and disclosure requirements as they relate to bank financial reporting in Canada and the United States.

With the planned transition to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), this year’s edition focuses on IFRS for Canadian banks including sample financial statements prepared in accordance with IFRS. We hope this will help with transition plans. Of course, our examples are generic; therefore, the particular circumstances of an individual bank will need to be considered. The book also includes our usual update on regulatory and taxation developments.
